Row of motorcycles at Americade - Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center, Lake George, New YorkWell, it is almost April, but we’re already thinking about Americade which is June 3rd through 8th. Americade has become the world’s largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally, and, once again, the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center is very proud and excited to be the official headquarters for Americade 2013.

Almost all of the events, the vendor booths and the demo rides are located on the Fort William Henry property. You MUST register and have a wristband to be allowed on property.

ONLY the Fort William Henry offers a discounted Americade wristband. No one else, not even Americade, sells a discounted full week Americade wristband! When you book online at, we will automatically include an Americade full week wristband for only $60.

Back by popular demand is the Motorcycle Stunt Show. This always draws big crowds. BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE A WRISTBAND to see it! Here’s a video from last year – Americade 2012: Americade Motorcycle Stunt Show Part 1

Taste of Ireland

March 7th, 2013 by James Hood

Irish_cloverMarch 17th is celebrated around the world as St. Patrick’s Day.

It was originally created as a Christian feast day to celebrate St. Patrick (patron saint of Ireland) who brought Christianity to the island nation. It is said that St. Patrick used the shamrock (3-leafed clover) to teach the native people about the Holy Trinity.

More commonly, the day celebrates Irish culture, heritage and food.

New York City has its famous parade with pipe bands and step dancers, and Chicago goes so far as to dye the river green.

For our part, the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center is bringing you “A Taste of Ireland.”

On March 17th, from 4 pm to 8 pm, Executive Chef Anthony Teta and his award-winning culinary team will be serving all of your favorite Irish foods including:

  • Corned Beef and Cabbage
  • Guinness Braised Beef Brisket
  • Shepherd’s Pie
  • Bangers and Mash

Put on your finest green clothes and join us for “A Taste of Ireland” or put in a “to-go” order for the whole family! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!
