Make The Fort William Henry Hotel your home base for adventure. To get your morning started, stop into The White Lion Inn Restaurant for a hot breakfast. Try the classic breakfast skillet, a Philly cheesesteak omelet or Irish soda bread french toast.

Nothing is better after a fresh snowfall than starting up your snowmobile and taking a ride through a winter wonderland. The region includes many volunteer snowmobile clubs that take exceptional care of trailBottom of Form anyanysystems throughout the region, ensuring a fun and safe riding experience. Trail systems run conveniently near restaurants and bars so that you can stop for a quick bite to eat. And with trails mixing from long straightaways to steep climbs with glorious views to casual runs near-frozen rivers and lakes, there is nothing quite like snowmobiling in the Lake George and Adirondack Area.

Important Information

Each trail has different open dates. By mid-December, all trails will be open for use if snow conditions allow for snowmobiling. Contact a local snowmobile club for more information about dates and rules.

And remember, if you want to ride across a frozen lake, you should first check the thickness. Five to seven inches is the recommended ice thickness to travel on a snowmobile.
