Plan the Perfect Fall Apple Picking Adventure

New York State’s official fruit is the apple, and there are more than 40 different varieties grown in the State. With fall foliage season underway, join us for two nights of accommodations and a delicious buffet breakfast in our famous White Lion Inn dining room, which served as the original ballroom of this historic hotel. While enjoying breakfast, you can take in the scenic views of Lake George with unparalleled sights of the entire South Basin of Lake George.

After breakfast, you’ll take a picturesque shuttle ride to the nearby Hicks Orchard to wander through the apple-scented countryside, pick your own bagful, and enjoy warm cider doughnuts, pressed apple cider, and freshly baked pies. Hicks has been New York’s oldest you pick orchard since 1905. If you don’t want to pick your own apples, plenty of pre-picked bags are available for purchase.

Nothing is sweeter in autumn than the taste of a crispy apple. Not only does Hicks Orchards offer a nice break, but the 21+ crowd can also enjoy cider tastings onsite at the Slyboro Ciderhouse. And you’ll find food trucks, live music options, and other fun experiences on site.

There’s no time to waste: Find something plaid, grab a cozy sweater, and join us for an unforgettable adventure this fall.
