Meet Dawn
Dawn Bennett is the wedding planner, wedding coordinator, and go-to person for your special day at Fort William Henry Resort. She’s been creating weddings at Fort William Henry since 2014 and will work diligently to ensure your wedding is a success.
Dawn has worked in the hospitality industry for many years. She started as a waitress, worked her way up to dining room manager, then small event planning. Once she moved on to wedding planning, she couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
What surprised Dawn the most about weddings at Fort William Henry? “Before I worked here, I didn’t know that the view from the property was so breathtaking! It changes every day with a new sunrise or sunset. That is what I hear from the couples who choose us: ‘Wow, what a view!’”
Dawn will bring her calm demeanor and experience in dealing with the unexpected to your special day. She has deftly handled many memorable moments over the years. There was the almost runaway bride, an hour-late officiant, and bridesmaids who needed to be sewn into their dresses – to name a few!
One of Dawn’s favorite parts of wedding planning is getting to know the couples and bringing their vision to life. Engaged couples work with Dawn over the year or so leading up to the wedding, and many keep in touch afterwards.
Dawn states, “I tell all my couples that we are the perfect place to host a wedding. There are so many restaurants in the Village, mini golf, bowling, fishing, boating, or just sitting and looking at the view! We are just a short walk away from all of those.”
Dawn’s number one piece of advice for engaged couples planning a wedding? “Your special day will go by so quickly, just be in the moment.”
